Mr. Justin Hillegas, who is an Everett Area School District graduate, was appointed Principal of the Everett Elementary Schools in November 2009. Mr. Hillegas received his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1998 and his Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University in 2002. In 2004, he received his Principal's Certification from Gannon University. Mr. Hillegas has worked for the school district since 2000. In that time, he has held the positions of Elementary Talented/Gifted Teacher, District Data Coach, Blended Schools Coordinator, and Everett Elementary Head Teacher. In May of 2013, Mr. Hillegas completed his coursework from Edinboro University for the Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility. Mr. Hillegas has two children and enjoys spending time in the community with his family.

MRS. KENDRA FORD, HEAD TEACHER

Mrs. Kendra Ford graduated from Pine-Richland High School (Pittsburgh area) in 2000. From there she attended Slippery Rock University where, in 2004 she earned her Bachelor’s degree  in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. Mrs. Ford began her teaching career teaching 4th grade in Frederick, Md. After moving to Bedford, PA, she was hired by the Everett Area School District as a first grade teacher at Breezewood Elementary School in September 2008. While teaching, Mrs. Ford completed her Master’s of Education in curriculum and instruction from Gannon University in 2011. During her 16 years at Breezewood Elementary School as a first grade teacher, Mrs. Ford had the opportunity to teach and build relationships with many wonderful students and families, work closely with the PTO, mentor new teachers, and help the head teachers with many building actives and responsibilities. With the closing of Breezewood Elementary School, Mrs. Ford has taken on the role of Head Teacher at Everett Elementary School beginning the 2024-2025 school year. 

Mrs. Ford enjoys spending as much time as possible with her daughter, husband, family and friends. She loves visiting her family in Pittsburgh and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
