Chris's educational journey began at Greensburg Salem High School, where his passion for learning and leadership was ignited. He continued his educational pursuit at California University of Pennsylvania, earning his Bachelor of Science in Education. While attending CalU, Chris competed on the Track & Field team, setting school records in the Weight Throw and Hammer throw. Since then, Chris has focused on Technology and Engineering Education, gaining experience teaching grades 8-12 in a variety of school environments. His first experience teaching was in a STEM Academy in Glen Burnie, MD. He then moved on to teach manufacturing and construction at Moshannon Valley Jr/Sr High School before moving on to teach Engineering, Computer Graphics, and Video Production at State College Area High School. While he was a teacher, Chris also owned and operated his own contracting company, where he renovated residential homes, offered handyman services, and eventually built custom furniture based on client needs.
Inspired to make a difference in education, Chris furthered his studies at Penn State University, obtaining his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. With this new-found knowledge, he had the opportunity to lead as the Assistant Principal at the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center.
